Okay.... And Xenocide ended oddly, too. If it weren't for the afterward by OSC saying that Children of the Mind is literally the second half, I would be pretty upset about now.

I never got to Xenocide... I'm still pissed about the way Speaker for the Dead ended. And I will never forgive Card for writing Ender's Game. It is unquestionably a classic, and so I have to recommend it to people, no matter how much I dislike Card. >:(

Once of my favorite series of all time.
When you get done, if you haven't considered it already, look into the Shadow series. Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, etc. (there are 4, the 4th one was supposed to be part of the 3rd book originally in this series as well)

Ever read any Piers Anthony? I went from Ender's into the Bio of a Space Tyrant series. A much better read.

I didn't like any of the books which came after Ender's Game. They were just too damned weird. And I never bothered with the ones that came after Ender's Shadow. These days I don't read or recommend Card, because he's got a particularly nasty essay floating around the hinterwebs about why I and everyone like me are morally reprehensible, and I won't support him.

Speaking of books, have you read Bridge of Birds? I highly recommend it.
