*glares* My sewing machine is acting up: dropping stitches, sometimes several in a row. Changing the needle, changing the tension and changing the orientation of the thread in the bobbin has had no effect. :( Gah. I don't REALLY want to sew this by hand, although I fully intented to baste it together by hand (velvet being what it is.)





No, it's not new fabric, its been sitting waiting for me to work on it for a couple years now.

Oy, what a pain in the arse. My newer one is doing the exact opposite; the lower thread is tight and gathers both the upper thread and the fabric no matter what adjustments I make.

Yeah, and no money for repairs. Thank gods I have another one and double thank gods that I never sold it.

I'm not sewing anything right now if you want to try my machine for a week or so to see if it your machine or the fabric (and finish the project).

Mine would do that when it was time for a cleaning and tune-up. When's the last time you took it in?
