Well, my attempt at an underbust corset using online directions for drafting the pattern is a mixed success. It fits (although using old jeans means the corset will twist like nobody's business), but I don't like the shaping at my hips and don't quite know how to fix that. Also, I put too high a point a the top in the front, but that's easily fixed (it will require a smaller busk than I have, but, eh, whatever)

poking holes in the back works just fine for lacing up to try one on, too. Not likely good for long term, but great for a mock-up.

I don't know if it was the twist or if the two sides were different, or MY two sides are different, but the top edge gapped on the left while looking just fine on the right.

Oh, and I need a higher back. At least, I think that would help with the back ooze issue.
