(no subject)

Just went to Walmart to get a new watch battery. The smell (I think coming from the digging) reminded me of the smell coming off the churned up ground around my great-grandparent's farm house (we decided it was pig waste left buried and uncomposted) when it had big machinery going by (to look for oil, actually, but THAT part smelled just like any other turned dirt). The problem is, I can smell it AT HOME, too. Not as strong and it's occassional wiffs only outside, but still. That's a LONG way for a smell to blow. And it's really unpleasant.
