Oh, look, Kerri's gone off the deep end again.

Heard something on the radio this morning that set me off. Something about 'sexiest vegetarian' awards going to someone or other, but then there was a quote, something to the effect they the speaker was proud to never eat anything with a parent.

Hello? Doofus? You've never eaten a pea? a bean? a nut? soy?! wheat? corn? do you scrape the seeds out of your tomatoes and lovingly place them in fertile soil? How about bananas? because seeds are plant babies and you better believe they have parents Sanctimonious, self-righteous, smug, wrong bastard.

Now, had they been talking about never eating anything with a brain, I'd let it pass. Or even anything with a digestive system (although they then couldn't eat pitcher plants or venus fly traps and the like, but I don't think that would be a problem). But no, they talk about the lack of parents. Even plants grown from seeds have parents! One could argue that cloned plants have parents, too - the parents of the original.

But then I woke up this morning with a sore throat, which is never a good sign.
