(no subject)

Ah, a trip through nostalgia. Or something. I haven't driven the Lawrence-to-Salina route in more than five years, I think. I have been a passenger on that route about a year and a half ago, but it's not the same. It was odd, though - I didn't recognize much for several miles west of Topeka.

Thanksgiving was fun; good to see so much of the O'Halloran family and there's a new little greatgrandchild to coo over (5 weeks as of Thanksgiving day. I forget just how small they are!)

Friday I helped cut down hedge (prickly!) and cedar from one of my Grandma O'Halloran's pastures. With handsaws and pruning sheers. Uncle Mike's sons had the chainsaws for the big stuff. We didn't get very far - there were a LOT of trees. One rather big hedge fell ON me, so I have scratches in my scalp. LOL

Spike TV is having a Bondathon, so I have now actually seen "The World is Not Enough" and "Tomorrow Never Dies". Tasty actors, but I really am not cut out to watch action films, I am thinking. I kept getting bored during the chase and fight scenes. :O Which, sadly, tends to be most of the film.

Today... not sure what today will be. No cutting down trees, though, as the the baby I mentioned before belongs to Uncle Mike's eldest son and his baptism is this evening.
