sewing action

Things I think I already knew

Drawning bias lines on thin, shifty fabric isn't easy. When it's 5 feet wide, and you don't really have a large enough flat space for it, is even worse. AND, it requires more than two yard sticks, since the bias on a 5 foot wide piece of fabric is more than 7 feet (square root of 50, anyone?)

I am pretty darn sure the lines are wavy. I dream of a HUGE piece of cardboard (and the space to set it down) two yards wide and ...oh... 7-8 yards long with 1 inch grid ALL OVER IT. Then I would just pin the edges of the fabric down.... glorious... but not very multi-purpose.
