The audio books really do wonders for making the commute to and from work much less stressful. But, today, someone managed to break through that calm. While there was a car on my left, an... inDUHvidual coming in on the ramp decided to ignore that I was there. I was very nearly the filling in a car sandwich, thanks to her. That could have been VERY, VERY ugly. Because of that, I think, I noticed the jerk-offs around me more than I usually do. Not a happy drive to work today.

But, I have now been introduced to: The Queen Betsy series (Undead and Unwed, MaryJanice Davidson), the Master and Commander series (Patrick O Brian), The Tales of the Otori (Across the Nightingale Floor, Lian Hearn), the Amelia Peabody mysteries (Crocodile on the Sandbank, Elizabeth Peters) and currently in the middle of the first Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser book (Swords and Deviltry, Fritz Leiber). Not a bad one in the bunch, I must say. And the readers have been superb. Man, I wish I could do that....
