sewing action

This kit alleges that a person can make a perfect-fit pair of pants if one follows the instructions. First off, the instructions don't tell you how to place the top point of the dart (but I have assumed the darts are all supposed to be the same length and they DO tell me where to put the bottom point, so....)

But now, the instructions and the model pictures DON'T AGREE. The instruction say to find your front rise measurement on a grid, but the PICTURE uses the front rise minus one inch. If I follow the directions, the top line of the front of the pants is a decided diagonal, but if I take that one inch out, it's more reasonable.

I am not amused.
