A cute Thomas-thing I forgot to blog.
I believe I have mentioned that Thomas so often says 'Dana, I mean Mommy' that I addressed a gift to him from me that way as a joke. I think it's cute, and genetic. I go through all my brother's names before I get to the one I want. So does my mother. And she has been heard to go through all her SISTERS' names trying to find mine. :O So, he comes by it naturally, and I just can't take offense.

But this. This was too cute. Thomas was trying to get his dad's attention and said "Tim, I mean Dad." (Tim is one of his teachers, in case you are curious.)

Hahah! My husband's fraternal aunt's entire family is like that, mom, dad, three offspring and two grandkids... the youngest grandkid, Christian, is often heard calling other people strange names, "I mean (insert name)" and it is so totally funny. Especially the look on their face as they realize that they're saying the wrong thing.

My family does this as well, and my grandfather used to get my named mixed up with his dog.

LOL maybe it's something in our water. My mother does that to me and my sister all the time. I'm beginning to think my name is Stephanie at this rate. :P But that is adorably cute!

The only time this got me in trouble was I was pissed at Pooch once and did the "Dave, I mean Steven, I mean damnit the one pissing me off right now"

But doesn't that mean he doesn't piss you off nearly as much as Dave or Steve did? ;)

If my sister has me and her Daughter Katherine in the same room she will always call us by eachother's names, I find it telling she associates me with her Daughter.
