Way behind on LJ and not likely to try to catch up. One/two weeks is too much.

First morning at my parent's house I was reminded why I hold onto the railing for dear life on the way down the attic stairs - dry, bare foot slipped on front of step and only my grip kept me from sliding down half the flight.

Second morning, I failed to hold onto anything with about three steps left (well, there's no railing at that point, all I have is molding and the door frame). Bump, bump, wham OUCH. I still have an impressive bruise on my left hindquarter, my left forearm and my right elbow. Mom admits something woke her, but she had no idea what. Ribbing from family never really stopped. :p No further incidents occurred, thankfully.

I have a very large extended family. I got to see most of it. This is Very Nice.

I have a corset for a friend all cut out and waiting to be sewn.

I played a LOT of WoW. Shocker, eh? Because I was ignoring the outside world, I didn't even know of anything to go out TO for NYE, but happily spent it five- and ten-manning with the bros. That was very pleasant. I may not have been with family in person, but I was still with family.

Speaking of WoW, I managed to get my Onyxia attunment. And finally use the Black Wing Lair attunement I got some time ago.

BWL with Foederati is.... probably a hellava lot smoother than I have any right to expect for a noob such as myself. They make it look easy.

Sure, we wiped to Flamegor, but then, we inexplicably lost the main tank right off and then three of the five hunters (who are needed to Tranquilizing Dart the boss or he Enrages and kills us all). It was all over but the chaos at that point. The second attempt when smooth as glass.

Chromagus was... Oh, it went well. I just screwed up, thankfully late enough not to matter much. I was set to Cleanse the Priests, Mages, Shaman and Druids. I did well enough (I am getting very good at Whack-a-Mole, WoW-style) when I noticed one of the Druids was consistantly out of range. I moved up and moved up and mo... dead. Oops. I accidently moved out of the 'shadow' of the door and ended up in Chromagus' Line of Sight. Turns out, that particular Druid was on the OTHER side of the doorway. I couldn't do anything about him. Oh, well.

Nefarian himself... I wasn't really looking forward to that one. Surely it had to be the most nerve-wracking fight, right? The big boss, the terror of the instance? Turns out, with Foederati at least, Priests have it EASY. That was THE most laid-back boss fight I have ever encountered in ANY game. Priests just have to... stop healing on a Priest call, and de-magic the polymorphed on a Mage call. (it was rather amusing to suddenly be a very large Grub, then a dairy cow. I got to stay the cow for a while, since the fight was over and noone was paying much attention to anything but loot.) Unlike Molten Core (which was a slog) Black Wing Lair was FUN.

Oh, and when the heck did it get so COLD? I didn't need a coat on Saturday, but this morning there was thick frost on my car.

Oh, crumb! I need to get myself some calendars!

Hehe, sounds like you had bunches of fun!

We have plenty of 07' calendars here at work. How many ya need??? We have about 8 different ones. We've been giving them out to clients and possible clients.

Thanks, but I like to chose my own. They tend to be a bit...odd. Last year's work calendar, for instance, was Esher. Home was Inu Yasha.

Cool! I like Escher. I like his brother. He's such a bad ass.

*wince* Ouch! Sorry, dear...gods, that sounds like something I'd do!

I have a corset for a friend all cut out and waiting to be sewn *perk*
I need to schedule when I can come up and pick it up; hoping to coordinate it at a time that I can also see <lj user="archway>. Maybe Thursday, the 11th? How does that sound to you? *hug*

I don't see any problems with that. Now, I am *not* to bind the top and bottom, right? So you can decide yourself what to bind it with? I am pretty sure that's where we left it.

Yep, 'course that means I have to rush to do finish it on Friday since we leave that evening and I need to wear it the next day. Hrmmm...lemme check with Beth and make sure that'll work for her schedule and get back to you on it, ok?

I know your schedule is tight. The binding is just such an artistic choice I don't feel comfortable making it for you. On the other hand, I don't plan to be going anywhere in the next few weeks, either, so I am flexible, schedule wise.

Ok, that works. And yes, I agree on the binding being an artistic choice. If nothing else, I can always hand-sew it on the way to TX...
