I have not yet seen a 2007 quarter. I have not done my taxes. I… - Melodramatic, corsetted mistress of the obscure
I have not yet seen a 2007 quarter.
I have not done my taxes.
I have not yet paid rent.
I have not done my bills.
I did not work on Lilith at all yesterday. And I really should have. Still have to finish the corset, alter the top, figure out how to do all those braclets, make the hair piece, figure out the wig, figure out those nail covers and make the overskirt (dang, that's a lot of button holes...).
I am not learning fast enough. While I did NOT keep reading a book until it was done, I didn't put it down until 12, rather than 10, like I should have.
I have my son tonight and tomorrow night.
I still need to do laundry before Naka-Kon
I still need to pack for Naka-Kon (see previous point).
And all I really, really want to do is curl up with that book and finish it.
I have yet to see a 2007 quarter, too. The next one should be Montana.

I have looked at Claire's and then shuddered at the price. ;P I do need to try thrift shops.
I was considering silver ribbon or cording, too.
As for the nails, I think a sculpting clay might be best, but I have almost no experience with it. On the other hand, I know people who DO have experience with it.

Those claws would be nearly perfect... but for the whole EBay thing. (I have not yet started EBay and know myself well enough to keep it that way).
The white jelly braclets definitely have potential.
I'll use my account for you if you want them.
Funny, I used to have a set and only just got rid of them two months ago.
oh! Know anyone that dips Skol? lol. Really, I know a guy who made a jingle dress for his wife using cones cut from them.

Thank you for the offer, but I think I will let this one go. Not quite the right color and I don't think I can make them wavy. Pretty darn close, though.
sure thing! You know I've a soft spot for helping with costumey things, feel free to ask, anytime, if there's anything I might have for you.

Wait! I could.... I could fake it with aluminum foil! Especially the heavy duty stuff....

The hard plastic one's look promising. Especially as they are supposed to be 3.5 inches in diameter. Thank you!
For my reference the part number is Item #: JA38
That place is huge, alot yourself a few hours to look around to find stuff. I used to go there growing up all the time. Now I only get to go every six months to pick up stickers for Cam :(
You can try to get someone to help you find something, but in my experience I have found that the employees are just as lost in the carnaval stuff as the customer, but you cannot blame them, it's a LOT of stock to keep track of.
btw-how many outfits are you planning for CC? I know you're doing the Lilith dress and you said you'd plan on the court dress for orange day, but I am trying to decide for myself what a reasonable number is and I am basing it kinda off of you...

I may not be the best to base off of. I really only have the two, mostly because a) I haven't been sewing much recently and b) I have never been to CC and have no idea what it's like, so can't pick out what would 'fit'.
you're in the same boat as me then.... oh well.
