I have to share this. - Melodramatic, corsetted mistress of the obscure
I have to share this.|
The sheer cluelessness of whoever is responsibe for this picture is... mindboggling.http://community.livejournal.com/corsetmakers/1248721.html
One wonders what the person putting on that corset thought the buttons were for.... Decoration, I guess (it's a nursing corset, by the way)

I can't believe that someone was so ignorant as not to see that! I guess the model was too flat to fill it out possibly and it looked worse right side up?

We may never know. It certainly doesn't fit her this way. >;)
Aren't corsets supposed to be, you know, fitted? There is nothing--nothing--about that picture that indicates anyone thought about that outfit before they threw it on her.

Fitted, yes, usually. But it's an antique corset, so obviously no intention of fitting it to HER. The choice of model and ... orientation of the corset itself speaks loudly of cluelessness.
Or artistic sensibility WAY beyond (outside?) normal ken. :p
Thanks for the laugh.
Admittedly I would not have know what it was, but I knew it didn't fit that model in the way a corset should fit.
And the buttons on the bottom are there in case the woman wearing the corset has a big meal. Like me undoing my pants after T-Day dinner. Ummm... Turkey!
Must remember that lj eats things in arrows.
Another logical explanation for wearing the corset that way: gravity, time and lack of support. The buttons can now serve the same purpose. they were intended for.
