Four hours worth of filling capsules took about 7, because the damn thing would tear the heads off the capsules about every 5 to 10 minutes. (sarcasm - engage) Oh, but it can't POSSIBLY be the fact that we are puffing nitrogen into the caps, because not all the caps get pulled out of position all the time.

Right. Sure. It's not like I haven't been using this equipment for the last four years, WITHOUT the nitrogen, and have never seen anythign like this happen. It "can't" be those little puffs of nitrogen (that we can SEE move the caps) because then the retrofit of the filler would have been for nothing and the client will be up You-Know-What Creek.

AND! AND! I have six more weeks worth of this (phase of the) project (with a signed contract and everything)

Shoot me, please.

I've been confounded for some time now trying to figure it out on my own.

What on earth is it you do?

I am a pharmaceutical chemist/formulator. Mostly, I help develop dosage forms for potential new drugs and make clinical supplies of the same. This post is about making clinical supplies.
