Judging by the lawns and lots I pass by on my way through Lawrence,… - Melodramatic, corsetted mistress of the obscure
Judging by the lawns and lots I pass by on my way through Lawrence, we have a bumper crop of dandilions this year. They were thick on the ground pretty much everywhere.
The Gkika-inspired outfit might just make it to ConQuesT. The skirt fabric is bought, the strapless bra is bought, the corset is half cut out, I have ideas for the decoration of the corset, Sculpy has been bought, pearls and lace I already have. We shall see.
Speaking of ConQuesT, it seems they wanted my bio. I admit to some confusion, as I am only doing a panel or two - I am not a guest, judge, writer or artist, so.... why, I wonder, do they need my bio?
Edit: Oh, I AM a guest. I somehow hung on to 'Will you do some panels for us' and missed the 'as a guest' part.
Work... goes. We shall see just how frustrating the new rules are in a couple weeks. Right now it's paperwork out our ears and filling 5000 vials by hand - in the lab, where the rules are much laxer. I swear, they go through that Secondary Reference Standard way too fast.
As one of those who gets stuck trying to fill space in a program book, and on a web page, it is nice to have too much info. And in your case (guessing that your panels are on costuming) having info on what costumes and such you have done in the past will look good, and further push that you are an expert in the field. And a couple of pictures further this. The pictures for the website, and one for the program book.
They have it now. ;) And I did mention 'chemist' and I did mention the awards that make me a "Master". Didn't directly mention "Master" as I don't really feel like one (need more experience showing costumes)
you was asked to be a guest, you filled out the questionnaire so you get your name in to the program book. it looks like you are on 3 programing items. You should get a notice with in the next few days on what your doing....
Oh, I see now. Okay. I hadn't quite pegged to the fact I am to be an honest-to-goodness guest.
Oh! I failed to pre-pay for ConQuesT and planned to pay at the door. I still need to do that, right? I can't remember the rules for invited guests.
you doing programing, is paying for the membership. makes you seem a little more important don't it....
As Jimmy said, I'd guess you wouldn't need to pay registration as a Certified Guest. :)
Hey, Jimmy, since we've got your ear here, d'you know if there's going to be a dance this year? (hope hope hope hope hope)
a small one on friday night, starting at 9:30 for a hour and a half. then the room is going to be used by a burlesque troop at 11....
Better than not having a dance at all, right? Thanks for the info.
they are trying new stuff, tho the stuff seems to be over lapping on the old stuff and.... sigh...
Ooo, Burlesque! A reason to stay awake that long!
They was supose to be after the masqurade on saturday but then was dropped, (we won't go in to why) but then was re-put on for friday night. there trying to get the burlesque Underground troops fans in for conquest. (we need all the people to attend that we can get) I'm not sure tho if they (thier fans) are really going to stay for the convention or what.
If you need help with simple stuff (beading, handsewing), please let me know. I owe you big-big.
I am Sewing Maniac this weekend. If you want to co-sew and don't feel like cleaning off your kitchen table =D, feel free to come over. My sewing table is long enough to seat two machines, with plenty of (well, enough, at least) elbow room.
I would LOVE to be able to use your cutting table! Love love love!
I get home from yoga around 1:00 on Saturday. I'll call you when I'm home and you're free to come over anytime after that.
