I knew that, once I started reading Blood Noir, I wouldn't put it… - Melodramatic, corsetted mistress of the obscure
I knew that, once I started reading Blood Noir, I wouldn't put it down until I finished it.
So, why did I pick it up at 9 pm?
While drinking Pepsi?
I do hope I can get to sleep now....
I enjoyed it, or I would have been able to put it down. ;) If you want to go back to the days of 'more plot, less sex' you will be dissapointed, though.
I am about 1/3 of the way through myself.
I really do wish she would get back to less sex and more story. Maybe it will...
Well, I didn't get the 'omg, this is all about the sex, isn't it?' that I got while reading Micah but it DOES have more sex than the last book.
Come to think of it, though, you may be past most of it. Not that the sexual tension is ever gone, mind you, but that has existed in bucket loads from the very start.
Ok, finished a little while ago. You were right the sex did tone down a bit and I was very glad she skipped over what would have been yet another one of those multi-chapter/multi-partner sex fests.
I will still follow and read every book but I do miss the who and what did it type mysteries of her first Anita Blake books. I kind of wish she would write Anita Blake crime dramas set in the time before she and Jean Claude really got started. Give me more zombie raisings, vamp hunting and mystery solving please.
I have it ordered from the library but it's going to be a while 11th in queue. I think you may be right I would not mind a little zombie raising and vamp hunting in the future. I thought it was going to be a while just looked it is ready to pick up ALL RIGHTY THEN !! Anita here I come :-)
