Okay, so here is how it's been going with me. I start feeling tired… - Melodramatic, corsetted mistress of the obscure
Okay, so here is how it's been going with me. I start feeling tired all the time. I make excuses. Then, it dawns on me that there's something I can do. I take an iron suppliment. Next day, I feel great. Few days later, I feel tired all the time and again I make excuses before remembering to take the iron. Over and over and over.
This is a bad sign, right?
put the iron by your coffee maker. i have the same problem.
Not really. It is just a sign that it needs to be built into your daily routine. Like brushing your teeth. Put a weekly pill box right my your toothbrush/toothpaste or somewhere else that you do remember to do daily.
If it is something I have to do in the middle of the day, like while I'm working and often won't remember, I'll set up a daily reminder either on my phone or computer calendar. I just have to remember to do that once, and it will recursively remind me until I delete it.
Ditto. I have two pillboxes: one for morning, one for evening. I take iron and calcium, and they don't digest well together. So if you take both, too, you might want to invest in two separate containers.
Having pillboxes doesn't mean I always remember to take my supplements, but it certainly ensures that I take them more often than not.
I keep my bottle of calcium next to my computer, since it's always visited right before I leave for work and right after I get home, so that's my reminder. :)
That's how I always remembered to clip on my card key for getting into work. It sits right by my bathroom sink so while I'm brushing my teeth, I see it and clip it on.
Otherwise, probably half the time, security would have had to give me a temporary badge for the day.
That is REALLY handy to know, since I take iron when I think about it, and the doc recommended I start taking calcium for my cramps.
My cell phone has an alarm around lunch that I know is "take your pills time"
