There's a humorous meta-phrase I keep hearing, that goes "In Soviet Russion *blank* *blanks* you". Does anyone know what the original phrase is and where it's from?

Comedian Yakov Smirnof started it all, I think.
According to Encyclopedia Dramatica, the original joke was:

"In America, you go out at night and find party. In Soviet Russia, party finds YOU."

More photos of the bucket loving Minoza (because all cute things, even if they are outsized elephant seals are Japanese).

Yakov Smirnoff had an act in Branson for years, btw. He still may be there.

Yeah, Yakov still does shows in Branson. http://www.yakov.com/branson/

I take the family to Branson about once a year to visit my wifes grandparents and Yakov has a huge billboard on the way into town, it has a bit light-up stick of dynamite and advertises "explosive comedy". I probably wouldn't mind catching a show sometime, although I'm the kind of person who also gets a kick out of Gallagher. http://www.gallaghersmash.com/
