Wait, wait, it's not as insane as it sounds. (yes, it's still insane, just not 'as')
See, I got Loremaster on Aydena (an 'old skool' character, in that she was 60 before Burning Crusade came out, even if I was about a year late getting to this party) first and I had to fight for the last ~20 Kalimdor quests. I thought I would never do that again... but well, that's what most women say about child birth, so....
Anyway. Nadira is a Blood Elf paladin, which mean, perforce, she was created after Burning Crusade came out. She also didn't get leveled for a long time, as I had other things to do, like level Aydena.
Then Blizz changed some things about the way rep is earned and I was curious: Aydena's rep with the Horde was abysmal - she wasn't exalted with anyone. I wanted to know if the rep changes would have had an effect on that, so I started running little Nadira though ALL the noob quests. Then all the mid level quests and.. I think you get the point. In the end she was ~50 short for Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms and ~250 short for Loremaster of Kalimdor.
She was also exalted with the entire Horde before she hit 50. :P
A month or so ago I really noticed just how close Nadira was to Loremaster and it started niggling at me until I gave in and just gave it a try.
And, darn it if it wasn't easier! She's still got at least 10 more Kalimor quests I could finish up very easily. If I really looked, I am pretty sure I could find several (if not many) more.
Oddest thing - I remember very few instance-based quests counting toward Loremaster while workign on it for Aydena, but for Nadira quite a few did, including all the Maraudon quests. Makes me wonder if they didn't tweak things a bit after Aydena clawed her way to Loremaster.
But I think I am done with that particular compulsion...
until Cataclysm comes out. :P
