So, after that fall yesterday, you know what kind of hurts? Not my legs. Not even the left middle finger. No, it's my upper back. Which means the part of me that got hurt was the part that was fruitlessly trying to stop the fall. Personally, that seems a bit ironic.

Oof. Poor thing. Can you afford a chiropractor or is that out of your budget? I highly recommend Mikell Adams if 1. it gets worse and 2. you can afford it.

She's wonderful.

It's just muscle soreness and it's loosened up through the day. Might stiffen overnight, but I don't think so. But thanks for the recommendation!

That is no fun at all. When I read your description of the fall yesterday, I winced in sympathy...

For the record, I won't even walk on a cattle guard unless there is no other way to get across. I'll even climb a fence ladder before I'll walk on a cattle guard (and that takes some doing since I dislike any form of height without a railing, and even then I'm nervous about it). I suspect the fear of heights is also triggered by a typical cattle guard - as you said, that's a rather deep trench underneath and it's very visible when you are standing on (or at the edge of) the pipes.

Yeah, if I had actually noticed, it would have given me pause. I still can't belive I a) didn't notice and b) stepped safely on it in the first place given a).

It seems to be just pulled muscles from the sudden flail to catch myself. But thank you for the advice!
