Hm. It might be muscular, then, and not skeletal. In which case, consider giving Risa a call! =D
I'm curious, though, did the chiros you saw tell you where the problem was originating, or did they just pop you back into alignment and send you on your way?

Pretty much just worked on my back and sent me on my way. It was physical therapy that gave me an indication that the problem is actually the muscles down the backs of my legs and my butt. They didn't come out and SAY that, but it was the stretching of those that actually helped. STill does. Most of the time.
Ahhh! Yep, tight hamstrings will kill you every time
. And for those of us who sit all day? *nods* Killer. I tell ya.
With that in mind, I'd recommend seeing a massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue massage and get those babies loosened up.
Then do daily stretching. The Yoga Journal website has a nice section on different poses that target hamstrings
Consider buying a foam roller. Hurts like effing hell, but whoa--effective. You could borrow mine if you wanna give it a test run before shelling out the $20. Lemme know.
Edit: Some of those yoga poses look crazy because they're showing the full version. I can show you some modified poses if they don't have modified versions at the website.Edited at 2011-03-23 03:09 pm (UTC)

I can give those a try once this flare passes. There's no way I can do most of those right now. Not sure it's the hamstrings, since I could comfortably get my nose between my knees for a while, and still got bad backaches.
Rats. I was hoping to give you some good info, there. I hope you find something that helps, eventually!
