Polysorbate 80 (also known as Tween 80) is a common surfactant and I encountered my first Tween (Tween 20 or Polysorbate 20) at Oread as a means of increasing the solubility of the drug I was working on in the solutions used for testing (these wouldn't come anywhere near a patient). I have just finished a protocol for the preparation of a drug to be drunk that contained Polysorbate 80. I really shouldn't have been surprised to see it in the ingredient list of the ice cream I had at lunch, but I was. LOL

Oh, yes, and I have finally done those two things I said I needed to do this month. yay, me.

My nearly 1/2 Irish self wishes you all a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day (I ought to call up my brother and ex and wish them a special Patron Saint Day, them both being Patricks.)
